SANDF Military Skills Development (MSD) Intake For 2027. The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) offers a military skills development (MSD) program on a two-year contract, during the first year of service. Recruits undergo initial military training followed by specialized functional training within their respective services.
Requirements
- RSA Citizen (No dual citizenship)
- Grade 12
- 18-22 years of age
- 18-22 years of age when reporting
- Admission Point score (APS) 18 and Above. excluding life orientation (LO). (Maths & physical science will be required for specialised musterings—aviation engineering, etc.
- Have no criminal record or pending cases
- Comply with medical requirements
- No visible tattoos (when in uniform). verification through body inspection.
