Requirements

• Grade 12
• Knowledge of traffic laws
• Physically fit
• No criminal record
• No experience required

Key Performance Areas

• Monitors traffic movement and road situations
• Patrolling an area, check traffic movements, and look for illegally parked vehicles
• Ensures law enforcement of traffic breaches
• Reporting irregularities and violations of the law that cannot be enforced
• Drives awareness campaigns and traffic educational programmes
• Suggesting for improvement of various traffic problems
• Preventing violation of traffic rules
• Checking parking meters, signs, or road markings that need maintenance
