Requirements
- Grade 10 or ABET Level 4
- Able to read and write
- Work experience as a cleaner in the public service will be an added advantage
- Good interpersonal relations; ability to work in a team
- Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles
- Be Able to deliver service under pressure
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean Windows, floors, dust and polish office furniture, consulting rooms, passages/corridors, emptying of all bins, cleaning of toilets and any other area in the office building under the supervision of a supervisor
- Operate and use cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Safekeeping and handling of a variety of aids in the cleaning of the premises
- Keep the cleaning materials and equipment clean and safe
- Report defects noticed
- Expected to carry out any other duty as instructed by the supervisor
Competencies
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques (sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, disinfecting, waxing) for floors, offices, boardrooms, and restrooms
- Proper application and storage of cleaning chemicals and detergents
